PC1602K-P9 LCD pinout

(1/2) > >>

jdev99:
Can any body help me with the pinout for this display please?
It is a "POWERTIP" PC1602K-P9 module (16x2 characters), based on a S6A0069 controller, which is similar to the HD44780.
It is from an old network switch

I traced out what I can, see attached schematic and photos.

Thank you for any assistance.

If you have the device it came from, and a scope or logic analyser, you can find out the remaining pins. It's probably being used in 4-bit mode judging by the number of pins left over on your schematic.

Hi, I found this datasheet, it might be what you're looking for: datasheet link here.

jdev99:
That is the one, thank you very much.  :-+ :)
How did you find it, if I may ask?

kjr18:
First I tried searching for "pc1602k-p9" then on images I found some photos from this page. Last post contains dead link to datasheet, but provides another parts number that shows what you look for.
