PCB blocked by the Belgian customs
« on: June 24, 2020, 11:08:17 am »
My PCB's from JLCPCB have been blocked by the Belgian customs for almost 6 days and still no news. Via DHL, I sent them a copy of the invoice, a copy of the web site with my order details. But ... nothing ...   :-//

I don't understand the reasons. They should have seen thousands of those things and should have a good idea of the real value  :palm:

Of course, impossible to contact them.

Any idea about what's happening ? Did you already have a similar experience for so simple things ?

How many did you order?

I have ordered tons of low quantity PCB from various Chinese manufacturers and never had any Problems.
Sounds like a mistake to me and/or lost in Bureaucracy.
As easy as paint by number.

Only 3 different (small - 2 layers) PCB's, 5 copies of each of them. Total amount: about 35€ including shipping cost !!
Never had any problem before: I paid the taxes and the PCB's were delivered the day after.

What annoys me is the impossibility to contact the customs. It's like a black box  >:(

That sucks! I have lived in Chile and Finland, both have the same kind of issues. In general they keep the stuff to charge you tax and import customs, but they don't realize they are charging us too by making us wait! In Chile you'd sometimes get charged for "storage" on top of all  :palm:

Anyways, there might be ways to pre-declare the customs so that they go smoothly. I have not managed to do that yet because I haven't established a business and I am not good with bureaucracy, especially in Finnish

I hope you find them soon!
