PCBs marked out

Hey everyone,

Just got a quick question. Sometimes when I am getting some PCB's and I order say 70 PCB's and there are 20 per sheet the PCB maker will mark out the exra 10 pcbs on the last sheet with a sharpie (sometimes a whole sheet S/S on it). Why do they do that and what is "S/S". Spare sheet maybe?

Wasted the PCBs that I could have used for spares.

are you referring to layouts of your board that the program sends to the manufacturer or the actual sheet board you get back ?

I think boards marked S/S stands for solder sample.
And I think *that* means not electrically tested.

Refering the the actual sheet I get from them.
