This guy really is serious about blowing stuff up.
I wonder what he has invested in just that control panel, transformers, the cables, etc. A small fortune I assume.
Good on him, and I'm glad hes not connected to my corner of the power grid. :phew:

Great power supply, wish I had one.
I would like it if he had his buttons and features laid out for us in a diagram.
It shouldn't effect the grid anymore than an instantaneous hot water system.

He does seem rather disagreeable at times, but that shouldn't really change whether what he's doing is interesting

He looks well too, I had the feeling that life was being rough with him in the past.

From what he said he had been experimenting with internet dating, maybe we should send him a copy of Dave's guide :) One thing I did note was that his new toy is downstairs in the lounge, if I did that there would be long protests from my other half. It has been my experience that the ladies like things neat and tidy or, at least, out of the way (which is why we all have a separate workshop).
Thank you for the heads up Mike, I've missed this guy.
P.S. Over 21000 views of his video in a day and the count is still going up.

I'm so glad he's back! He does look like he's in good health as well. I was worried he hurt himself badly since his last major video was him getting his giant power supply.
I'm looking forward to him blowing stuff up (and watching him build almost perfect looking supplies/devices.)

Not as bad as you'd think. A few minutes of serious zapping won't even cost a buck. It's when you're doing it for serious duration (the kind of thing that raises the temperature in the room to uninhabitable levels) that you're going to start noticing it.

Can say from experience it's a lot easier patching up a laser burn on the wall than on furniture :D

How did he manage to pull that many amps? Did he short out his main fuse? (Don't they have seals in the UK?)

He used the patented M10 fuse, capable of handling a current of "Farking crazy" amps. I have seen the metro electrical guys use it as a quick fault locator on buried cabling, where they did not want to start digging up the entire road to find the fault.

You can buy them on ebay ;D

I have plenty of the special wire they use as well. the metro guys beg it off me when they do the substation, as they have none in stock....... The numbered crimper for the seals is a little difficult, but pliers work just as well, and are the same pattern as the metro seal as well.
