Placement of charging ports and buttons. Silly.

Quote
KLM has unveiled their Premium Comfort Class cabin, and it's received very mixed reviews from the public, with some pointing out the controversial locations of some ports.

If you don't like the USB ports, you can book economy instead.

It's slimly a lame design. BTW USB ports are often present in economy seats. Usually on the back of the seats in front of you. Including KLM:

Well, if that's premium comfort class, I'd rather not see what they'll do for the economy class.

Probably this:

Heck, everything in the name of fitting more "cattle" in a airplane or to force the "dirty economy pleasants" into upgrading to a higher tier class/seat.

Ouch. :-DD

Reminds us of Ryanair's CEO suggesting that the future of economy class may be people traveling standing up.

Anyway, the nice thing about those USB ports is that in case of emergency where you'd have to brace, you'd have an easy access to charging your mobile phone.

This type of treatment happens on ferries. You can buy a ticket for a seat but you can't lay down. If you want to do that, you need to buy a cabin.

When I went to Europe in 1982, the Ireland to France ferry was covered with my Eurail pass. But cabins were extra cost. Most of us just rolled out our sleeping bags and slept on some part of unclaimed floor.
Currently developing embedded RISC-V. Recently STM32 and STM8. All are excellent choices. Past includes 6809, Z80, 8086, PIC, MIPS, PNX1302, and some 8748 and 6805. Check out my public code on github. https://github.com/unfrozen

I'd have thought the limiting factor would be weight rather than volume of passengers so I don't fully understand why there is always so much focus on cramming people in closer and closer together, and then really big planes like the A380 are impractical for being too big. Surely they could make the plane just enough longer to fit in the desired number of seats at a reasonable comfort level and then focus on making the seats and other parts light ot save weight? Obviously the engineers that design airliners must have done the math, but it's getting ridiculous. I'm starting to think there ought to be a legally mandated minimum seat pitch, everything else in aviation is so tightly regulated that this doesn't seem like much of a stretch. When planes are too crowded it is hard to safely evacuate in an emergency.
