Reminds me of when I did my electronics training (RAAF early 1970s)

While there was lots of HP test equipment, all the oscilloscopes were Tektronix. Enormous beasts on trolleys, took two strong men to lift them onto a bench.

Keep in mind she's from the 70's and only goes up to 75 MHz. 

The thing also has a *large* number of rf chokes scattered around which may help 
As the thing is full military (air tight metal enclosure, etc), maybe durability and repair-ability were higher priorities?

Even then, I would still think all those sharp corners would create a large number of potential stress points vs having nice rounded corners.

Yes, repairable if it fails and design for no failure were a very big driver. Cost was not such an issue.

Has anyone else noticed that power supplies, av recievers, tv boards, and test equipment are all routed using different styles?  The voltage capability at parts is more or less the same, but they are routed differently.  very curious

More like cosmetic "issue" than a real problem. Absolutely no problem for frequencies in that scope:

Good article.  Lots of good points.  I never thought electrons would "fly off into space", but I guess I was more concerned with the whole reflection thing.
The part that changed my mind was--
"Your average electron smacks into something and changes directions billions of times in a length of 10 mils. Electrons don't have any trouble banging around a corner."
