I loved how in Keith Rucker's recent video about a planer restoration,

you can see both a shop cat and a shop dog (8:50-11:00).  The dog is exploring nearby,
with obvious happy tail swish, and the cat is doing that cat thing, where
it does its thing nearby, but not too nearby to make it obvious it enjoys
the presence of the human; except for some close inspection that
is occasionally warranted...

As much as I don't like cats, that's wrong.  Funny, but wrong. :-DD

Regarding cat shaving experiments, I've found watching this quite amusing:

Looks funny, but is quite cruel for the two cats.   :--

Bathing them is no fun either.  I made the mistake a couple of years ago trying to help the stepdaughter bathe one of her cats.  Cat was like an 8 legged octopus with claws.  After she twisted free, being slippery from the shampoo, she literally climbed up me, across the low ceiling in the kitchen and disappeared.  I had bloody claw tracks up my chest.

Ouch!  When I was young, we had a spitz mutt (mostly Finnish Spitz), who refused bathing, unless the person went first; wouldn't be fooled, either.

I was amazed to see how calm Maru, the box cat, is when bathed:

I realized the hard way that a pre-bath claw trimming was extremely important back in 2015 after giving Gilmore (aka Lab Cat), the first of my three new kittens, a bath because the lot of them had gazillions of fleas.  Kittens REALLY have razor sharp needle-like claws, and he did a fine job of shredding my forearms.

His two sisters and my other two cats then received mani/pedis before THEIR baths, and things went much more smoothly.

From what I have been told cats can get used to bathing if you start when they are a kitten. Otherwise it will be claw-hell. At some point we had to wash our cats and that wasn't fun (but it was necessary due to fleas).

Can confirm some cats get used with bathing.  I've witnessed at a beach (at the seaside/2 Mai/Black Sea) a cat that was following its master into the sea, and swim around without even being called to get into the water.

It was the craziest cat I've ever seen, almost like a dog.  Still with tons of cat personality, but able to take a few commands from its master.  Also, it was a very territorial cat, no one could've come close to the owner's tent without being attacked by that cat, not even dogs.

They just play with toys like we do. Their toys happen to be much cheaper than ours...

They definitely have a thing for boxes!!!

Actually being able to FIT in said box is, of course, of secondary concern at best
