Pop the image URL between IMG flags which you can embed in your post with the Insert Image button bottom left above the text box just above the Emoji's.

It should look something like this before you post:

This was Rascal. Named since when we were at the rescue choosing a dog, he managed to escape from the kennel area twice, once managing to get free outside with all the staff and us trying corral him back in. It was an apt name, he was clever and mischievous to the last.

He lived a good life and was put down at age 14 due to chronic pain and most likely cancer. Miss the poor guy, haven't had dog since.
