Fly particularly likes farming programs where she can swat up on her technique.

Our Trixi will never ever sit like that with real cow, pig, sheep or cat close. And with TV, she doesn't even take notice. Maybe your TV smells interesting. Do you also have a cat?

Neither will Fly as any real working strong eye dog shouldn't. You could call Fly dual personality such are the changes in her when there is stock around or stock work to do.
Wonderful young working dog and a lovely nature with it however like many eye dogs she can be indifferent to humans which not a bad trait.

No, the program is a long running NZ farming series called Country Calendar and it has used the same theme music for decades and when Fly hears it she will come running from wherever she is to watch it. Just be sure not to be in her way as it's her weekly treat.
First episode 1966 !

Yes and now at 17 she's had Fly to beat into shape over the last 2 years which she has managed to do very well.
Featured a few times in the Cat thread.

Here is an updated photo of our 7.5 month mixed breed pup (I posted some images and a video earlier in this thread). He's now 95 lbs... We have been tracking his progress on this website ( https://en.belpatt.fr/chien/view/23251) and his growth curve is still maintaining a straight line so far, no signs of curving yet. I'm sure it will happen soon. He is a big baby.

Pictures of our grand-dog Max, also a Staffie, on his best behaviour... and after a very long walk!

Max spots a fly (Yummy!) whilst perched in a hammock.

Lovely weather yesterday.

Unfortunately one that regards Bumblebees as a delicacy and shows little discrimination when it comes to Honey Bees and Wasps! Nothing seem to put him off though - he's a 'special' dog in many ways!

Edit: Image deleted - I'll leave his dignity intact.  :D   Oh what the hell, he's a big boy!

How do you dog owners prevent your dogs from hurting themselves by ingesting or touching your electronics inappropriately? (thats a joke, knowing as I do how dogs like to "kiss" people)

I have been pining for a dog, and trying not to think about it. I really like dogs. Especially huskies/samoyeds/malamutes..

Here is a photo I saved of a strange dog costume I saw a while ago. What is it of? Maybe you can tell me? No this is not may dog.. I am "Dogless"  (spoken like the name "Douglass)

That costume would look more realistic on one of those hairless monsters! :)

I think a lot of dogs think of flies and bees as sky raisins.  The latter being of the "ouch! spicy!" variety.

What is it of?
The Thing.

Cool, now I have to see that. The costume and the shape-shifting aspect reminds me a lot of The Invasion of the Body Snatchers, (all 3 versions) which I liked a lot. (My favorite one is the 1970s one set in San Francisco.. )

Here is a scene from The Thing. No dogs in it, though, unfortunately.

seems at the beginning there is a dog scene

ahh.. here is a synopsis which explains the dog costume.

Roadies have a ruff life.

No good during the sound check. Makes the speakers howl.

Damnit. There's a joke in there somewhere.

A better picture of dog 4.    I had no plans to bring another one into the home after we lost dog 3.   Wife found dog 4 stuck in a kill shelter and had been surrendered twice.   It's been a few months and health has improved.  Proving to be a fast learner for being older.
