If you're an addict like me, you probably have one, here's mine, done in allegro and added my favorite sentence from the movie 3 idiots:

Doesn't count without Dave's picture.

Doesn't count without Dave's picture.

Now that would be cringeworthy.

Nope, I guess I'm too old, I just don't get it.

I just can't imagine me turning up on the beach with an LM309K TO3 in a layout made with a Dalo pen.

I guess the skin offers capacitance because I can't see any decoupling caps.

I have a nice tattoo of a 1x /10x passive probe, I would show it but kids come to this site. I also wouldn’t want to intimidate people when it’s in 10x setting. ;D

I know bad but I couldn't resist.

Reminds me of a joke I heard years ago.  A man goes to the doctor for a checkup and the doc notices he has the word 'TINY' tattooed on his package.  He has to leave the room to avoid laughing.  He tells the nurse and said to go check it out.  A half hour later she comes out, hair in every direction, clothing askew, red in the face and panting.  The doc asks what's wrong and she says, "doc you were wrong, the tattoo says Ticonderoga Lake, New York."  I couldn't resist either. >:D

Quite well executed, too. :-+

The thread brings to mind the idea of circuits that form nice patterns - like this modified multi-phase multivibrator: repeat it as many times as you want phases, as long as it's an odd number. I'd like to see some sort of stylized version of one of these "geometric" circuits...

If I ever get a tattoo, it'll probably be something like... a pentode on one shoulder, BJT on the other. ;)

Speaking of symmetry, flip-flops are pretty amazing:

IF, and a big IF, I ever get a tattoo, it will be a little cartoon guy pushing a lawn mower on top of my head.  I'm losing it anyway, might as well have fun with it.

I know, it's not electronics related, but it's the only tattoo I'm interested in getting.

Apropos tattoos, tattoos wash bottles like this one are very handy for keeping water on the bench, e.g. for the wet solder sponge. Good control over the dispensed amount and they don't leak when tipped over. There are many plenty on ebay.

I'm sorry for you that your "probe" is passive.

BTW. the 10x setting won't intimidate anyone; it has the opposite effect (a trap for young players).

I've seen one like that before, except not on the head. I would post a photo, but since there is no 18+ section on this forum I leave it to your imagination.

I kept misplacing my ruler.... so I got one tattooed on my forearm. Can shift +/-2cm depending on how extended or contracted my arm is, but when I'm at my desk it is BANG ON. Use it every single day.

Here's a design idea for tatt newbies with money to blow,
that enjoy pain,
like to nursemaid possible infections,
get addicted to 'bleeding',
ungrateful enough to grafitti the awesome body their proud mums and dads (and the boss beyond the blue or grey cloudy sky above) blessed them with

and making the local 'body artist' tattoo parlor biz owner richer than they already are (so they can stop renting and BUY the entire shopping strip)

Here goes:

Multimeter leads starting from the chest

Black down the left arm

Red down the right arm

probe tips at the wrists

A tatt like that may be useful when on a job (in Summer) to remind the user what plugs in where..   8)

Not really, just putting it out there for the next wave of suckers to understand that just because a lot of people with closet attention issues (plus the negatives above) are getting them done,

it's a LOT cooler not having them, totally NORMAL to leave your skin untarnished,
and why GAS what weakminded peers think (if they can lol)

Tattoos turn to ugly mud city after a few years, and don't get me started on what's in those 'inks',
I'll leave that to the 'in the know' users to research properly, before the next 'session' they may think twice about

The world would be a very boring place if we were all the same. My Aunt showed me a rose she had done when she was in her late teens. 50 years later it has wilted significantly ;)

I can however appreciate the artistry that went into that tat in the OP.

I've been idly considering some kind of electronics tattoo for a while now.  Then I saw that ruler!   :-+

The oscillator would be kind of a cool arm-band like those tribal tattoos all of the bros were getting back in the day.  The flip-flops might be better off as a wallhanging, I could see the tattoo artist getting off track and making a mistake in the diagram.  Wouldn't want that on me permanently!

Too right mate, life of the party  :-+    ( enter beer smilies here)

All the painted people stare and talk "Hey look, the dude with the shorts and PLAIN T-shirt  ((:wtf:))  chatting up the women has got no tatts,
how does he expect to score a root without 'em?"

Tip: dude WILL score without em,
and can afford a hotel room because hasn't been blowing borrowed cash for grafitti'd skin firmware updates

OK, new idea I had on the train home yesterday.  How about some old-skool resistors with the color codes for my kids' birthdays?  I'd stick them on a heart-shaped PCB or something.  If I do a two-digit year without zeroes, they're a 4 and a 5 digit number.  They don't fit any of the E series but I'm willing to take artistic license.  The question is, ISO or 'Merican date format?

 >:D

:-DD You just reminded me of a funny movie called "One for the money".
I couldn't find a picture/clip of the scene, but the script reads:

- One more question.
- Okay, you gotta stop saying that, please.
I gotta know. The snake?
Cabo. Wasted.
I woke up and it was there.
What are you going to do?
It's harsh, I know.
