Quality AA, AAA, 9V PP3 / E-Block

I know Panasonic Eneloop ones but they don't have a PP3 style one.

GP Batteries have all types but I never used the brand.

Any of the users have experience with a brand other than Duracell (I run away from Duracell like the devil runs from the cross, since I had enough leak failures of Duracell including in my Fluke 54II with the Procell variant).

Also a good recharger that supports all of this. The only brand that I know is NiteCore, one of my friends use one and talks wonders about it, I don't have again experience with.

I have Energizer and Rayovac NiMH batteries recharged constantly via a Nitecore i4 (I also have a Nitecore i2) and in a recent past they were recharged by a nifty Sony charger like this one (not my photo):



I can tell that both brands of batteries and the Nitecore chargers are very good - being used for many years.

The Sony is a nifty charger, but it tends to "discard" batteries a lot sooner than the Nitecores.

Varta makes 9V low self-discharge ("ready to use") NiMH batteries with 200mAh capacity.
I have one in a DMM but it's still on its first discharge, maybe a year old or so.

Beware that they aren't rounded at the corners and may not fit into certain devices which expect rounded corners. This is something to watch out for regardless of brand, ask me how I know

Yes I was looking this brand since my friend talks wonders about it but they don't have a charger that charges AAA, AA and PP3 in the same charger, hell they didn't have even a PP3 able charger.

That's good to know, I didn't remembered Varta, since here in Hong Kong / China / Macau is Duracell, some Energizer, rarely some Panasonic Alkaline and Eneloop White and lots of GP Battery and no name ones that I can't pronounce the name of them.

So that's why I asked for experience with them.

Do you have any first hand experience with this models you posted? Because I also found them before I created this thread. I simply want to save the hassle of buying something and not be what I want or the performance be subpar.

Here is a discharge test I did with Bonai brand 9 V lithium batteries and a Tenergy 9 V NiMH battery for comparison.

If the device demands a higher supply voltage then the Tenergy would be best. But if the need is for a longer run time, low self-discharge or higher power output then the Bonai wins. The Bonai batteries need a compatible lithium ion charger which I have not tested.

measure you device to make sure its not designed like shit with high quiescent power draw while powered off. That tends to kill alkaline batteries.
