Power Supply Question

Getting a little ... confused over power supplies,
Actually, seeing that precisegauge is selling the vantek 0-32v 5amps model w/o USB for 68$ each and 89$ shipping for two sets ... Hmm.
and that i already have in mind to buy 2 30v 5amps linear PSU from totobay for 47$ each and 56.13$ in shipping.
Is it worth the extra?

You really can't tell with these supplies.  There are some Vantek supplies reviewed on eevblog. 

It comes down what quality of VDC in terms of stability, noise, response etc., and build quality you are getting, not just the advertised or claimed volts or amps, or the upfront costs.  Agilent has a paper on what to expect from a good lab supply including base specs.

If it can't meet them, its just a question of getting the least bad, and good enough to meet your electronic design needs.
