This paper explains a perspective that goes against efficiency when designing a transformer but it does it with intent to regulate power for a load that can drop to very low impedances. Below operable range (plasma / arc/ dead short). It seems it could have some advantages in plasma generation for micro gaps and can be tuned to were resistive loss is minimal.

This transformer is floating and doesn't have a ref to earth. But Yea not the best tool lol... :popcorn:
