Hi,
I've tried to create a new post in the Repair section. It's quite lengthy as I've included a lot of detail and 7 attachments (jpgs and pngs).
Unfortunately, although it appears to upload, it never shows up in the forum. After the 'uploading' stage completes it returns me to the blank "Start a new post" page as if I hadn't typed anything at all - not sure what should happen normally.
I don't get any message to say either "Success" or "Failed due to ...".
Am I doing something wrong? I couldn't see anything in the Rules or guidelines. Is there a minimum number of posts needed before uploading a big topic?
I waited overnight (about 8 hours) at first, in case there's a delay. I'm using Brave (Chrome-based) but tried in Firefox just in case.. No weird firewall setups or VPNs or anything.
Thanks for your advice!
Edit:
Obviously this one made it so it's not a computer problem :D

Welcome to the forum.
You may have exceeded the total attachment limit that's not long been extended to 5MB.
Sometimes when I have a large post to place I prepare it in Word or similar and copy/paste it into the posting page.
Try again with less content and add the remaining content with Modify or Edit.

Thanks, I'll try that now!

Thanks tautech - you were spot on about the attachment size limit. I hadn't noticed how big the png files were... :palm:
Thanks for the speedy reply, the post has now worked!
Should I (or you) delete this thread to declutter the forum?

We can’t delete threads, only the content of or your own posts.
This is best left here as guidance for other newbies. ;)

Good point - hopefully others can learn from my stupidity!! :-[
