Luckily there was already a plugin that blocked results from whichever domain i added to the list. They are still loaded, but they are removed from sight. So, everytime i follow a link that goes to aggregators of garbage it gets added to the list

What plugin is it?

Yeah this has become a real problem. First page of search results is often full of ai-generated trash. Quora, medium, paywalled crap like researchgate, whatever. I wouldn't even need automatic detection, but some plugin that could filter search results and remove blacklisted domains (that I can add one by one manually, that's fine) from them would be very helpful.

This seemed like a good place to post this little tip I found today.
This youtuber seems, like me, to prefer to avoid youtube shorts as a means to make yourself feel just a little bit dumber whenever you watch them.
Since I installed Ublock origin a few months ago to deal with the ad blocking issues I found it only a few minutes work to install a filter he set up to just make the option go away. I've only just installed it so I can't report any problems but he was the channel that helped me get my ad blocking issues sorted out fairly painlessly.
It is a very short video, ironically.

A thousand thanks!
Wish I could do the same on my phone.
Too often I have a genuine research reason to be on youtube but end up watching some nonesense.
