Project scope and deadline in hardware design engineering

Power design
and many more that I can't list

However, I want you to evaluate it in general. For example, let's take Intel's carrier boards.
What is your average deadline and what is the scope you need to do in the project? Library design, system design, schematic design, layout design. Electromagnetic simulations, customizations. including prototyping and final product
Do you think 2 months of project time is enough for one engineer ?
 it would be great if you could give examples such as project , scope and deadline.
