They might have been wiser to just use an audio-only recording! :P --- End quote --- No emotion. Is she real, or a bot? --- End quote --- I feel like there is emotion in that death stare! |

PTHs are plated holes through which you insert a component lead; vias are plated holes through which component leads are not placed. --- End quote --- That's right. Besides, conversely, not *all* vias are PTH. Blind and buried vias are *not* through-holes at all. :) --- End quote --- I should have remembered that fact, given that just 2 weeks ago, I spun a PCB with hundreds of tented vias (since I needed the silkscreen to be legible for the kids who'll be assembling the kits — on the prior version, the via stitching left the silkscreen looking rather moth-eaten). Altium defaults to open vias, so changing them to tented was an extra step I had to do explicitly. |

Yes, I've heard both pronunciations before. --- End quote --- Hair physics too detailed to be a bot.... |

Whilst we're discussing this, let's go for: "GIF": there's no "discussion" for this, it's an acronym of "Graphics Interchange Format" - the first letter of "GIF" is therefore going to be, phonetically sounded as "Guh" and not "Juh", as it's only a moron who thinks that you'd pronounce "Graphics" as "Jraphics" :palm: Yeah I know it's very tired, that debate. Logic wins over "opinion" though. There's others, but I've no inclination to digress further. |
