Today is the 50th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 8. It is considered by many to be the most challenging and daring mission ever attempted by NASA.

Apollo program was a fantastic achievement of the US science and technology. Congratulation!
As a small child I watched a few expeditions on the TV.
I can remember my mother always left the room during the live broadcast of the lunar liftoff..  And I called her back with "..they fly!!" :phew:

It won't be long until the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission.  I watched that launch from about 2 1/2 miles away.  Man, where does the time go?
