Today is the 50th anniversary of the launch of
Apollo 8
. It is considered by many to be the most challenging and daring mission ever attempted by NASA.

Apollo program was a fantastic achievement of the US science and technology. Congratulation!
As a small child I watched a few expeditions on the TV.
I can remember my mother always left the room during the live broadcast of the lunar liftoff.. And I called her back with "..they fly!!"

It won't be long until the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission. I watched that launch from about 2 1/2 miles away. Man, where does the time go?
