PSU Repairs in Frankfurt?

One of my youtube viewers who helped me with my Quantel Paintbox adventures has a Paintbox himself but it seems as though the PSU might have failed in it, he tried turning it on a few weeks ago but all that happened is it started smelling really bad. So magic smoke time i suspect.

He's located in the Frankfurt area, is there anyone one here who could take a look at it the power supply for him?

If we can make sure the power supply is good then i can help with the actual paintbox side of things.

There are several repair cafes and hackerspaces around . If he gets to the Schaffenburg Makerspace (In - tadaaaa - Aschaffenburg) I might help him, but at the other locations he will get help, too.
