Title: Q: TEXT MODE SMS - 2G vs 3G formatting differences?
Post by: SL4P on May 15, 2016, 09:37:41 am
I've been doing some work on parsing multi-line text messages (Text mode SMS).

I was originally SENDING with a couple of different SIM900 & Telit 2G modems (Internode SIM / Optus),
which format the messages as....  LF between lines

<header line> CR LF <text line 1> LF <text line 2> LF <text line n> CR LF LF

When I i switched to a SIM5320 3G modem with a Telstra 3G SIM, the CR LF pairs changed...
like this...  CRLF between lines

<header line> CR LF <text line 1> CR LF <text line 2> CR LF <text line n> CR LF

Is this a known phenomenon, or am I seeing things?
