If somebody wants to sell/advertize new test/measurement equipment, what is the appropriate thread, "Test Equipment" or "Buy/Sell/Wanted"?

Triotest has the habit to dump advertizements in the "Test Equipment" thread.

I'm not so sure that Trio Test and Measurement has a "habit" of listing equipment sales in the Test Equipment section as you refer to, what they do have a habit of doing is not only supporting the owner of this forum but also providing him on occasion with test equipment for the greater benefit of everyone.
In my opinion you are not out of place in bringing attention to the matter but please be aware of the bigger picture and generally speaking if I were to come across a posting such as this then I would simply use the report to moderator link and leave it to the discretion of those in charge, If it were not for companies such as Trio, Emona and others giving or lending Dave the latest and greatest gear to review then the whole concept would be mediocre at best.

So do I, BUT it is of an informative nature, new equipment, FW or product developments, thats's what the Test Equipment board is for, is it not.
Dave asks that distributors/sellers play nice and I personally am grateful to be allowed a presence on this forum.
AFAIK all Siglent resellers have disclosed their affiliation with Siglent.
For those that noticed (I did) you rightly asked Trio to post a stock clearance in the BUY/SELL/WANTED board.
FYI Trio supplied Dave with the first in OZ SDS1202X DSO for a first in the world review.

You are right, Trio is a bit naughty to post links directly to their website, it's something I wouldn't do although we are allowed to provide a link to our websites as part of our profile.
