Aliexpress login problems?

I seem to have a recurrent problem logging in to Aliexpress. The password is not recognised.

Has anyone experienced this?

The forgot password link just seems to send me in a loop where I end up back at the site but still not logged in and without the ability to update the password.

I'm using Firefox but I switched to Chrome with similar results.

Frustratingly, you don't then seem to be able to checkout as a simple guest using the same email address.

I have set up two accounts and had the same problem both times.
