| Zucca:
Thanks guys excellent, I try Shipito |
| Berni:
I also have been using Shipito and haven't had any major problems. Its still not all that cheep for big or heavy things, but is still reasonable enough for when you score a nice bargain to justify it. |
| TerraHertz:
Berni, have you tried a comparison, sending via Shipto (with a choice of carriers for the international leg, all giving bulk discounts and competing against each other for Shipito's business), vs having a similar package sent from seller direct to you, via say, Fedex? You should try that. Then you'd know that "not all that cheap for big or heavy" is not the issue. You'll NEVER get that for cheap. The issue is not being sent bankrupt by shipping big heavy things. It's all relative. What I really miss, is Australia's TNT. Their quotes for Shipito CA to Oz were almost always much less than any other carrier. Also their service, speed and tracking were superior. Made Fedex in particular look like clowns. So Fedex bought them out and shut them down. The company seems to have sort-of restarted in Oz (as a Fedex subsidiary?), but doesn't seem to do international freight any more. |
| Berni:
Well yeah for Fedex or UPS or whatever the prices for mere mortals are ridiculous. Have certainly seen ebay sellers selecting UPS for international shipping and the automatically calculated shipping quote ending up being something completely ridiculous like >1000 USD. The USPS shipping tended to be reasonable (But tends to beat up your package even more due to it changing hands more times) My preferred method when it comes to ebay is there own global shipping program. So far it has been the cheapest way to import a big rack mount boat anchor to me. And its understandable since they fill up there own cargo container, ship it over to Europe and then send it off from there with cheap local rates. Only problem is that the seller has to opt into this program(along with plenty of limitations as i understand) so a lot of the time i can't use it. But when it comes to small light packages shipitto is indeed the cheapest option i have seen. |

Found shipito only provided a shipping address but no phone number which both Amazon and evilbay req, managed to get around it using TextNow which provide a free USA number. Do anyone has solution for the Austria address ? |
