Rant: US time change
« on: March 10, 2011, 04:40:49 pm »
I'm not going to rant about whether or not the time change is good, I'm going to rant about the timing.

The US did have it's change after Europe.  In a legislative smoke screen to cover up the fact that they had done nothing of any substance, our fine legislature moved the time change, but now it's BEFORE Europe.  Why not make the change when Europe does?  This would help employees of global companies, like my own, who have scheduled conference calls that get all out of whack twice a year.

Because America must lead Europe in EVERYTHING!

(Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if that was the real reason).

Uk has been talking about  making the time change 2 hours instead of 1 hour.

Has the US been thinking about that too?
