Registering for chinese forums from abroad?
« on: September 30, 2022, 12:30:24 pm »
Chinese forums such as http://bbs.38hot.net have quite a wealth of information and in my case they do a lot of interesting voltnut-projects that are of great interest to me.
But it apparently isnt possible to register to them (tried it, one doesnt get an activation link per mail) to view the pictures in threads.
Does anyone know a method how to register/get access to the pictures non the less?

Signup for qq.com (probably have to do it via the app) and then use your QQ.com email or use their SSO to signup.
Personally would do this on a spare phone with no personal info on it or your personal phone number.. It is Tencent after all :-DD

I tried gmail + mailinator sign up, no email yet.
When you even enter your email "gmail.com" pops up on the list. So you wouldn't think its a banned domain?

There is a 31 page thread on Metcal handle teardown...  8)
Will try the QQ sign up later on a spare phone.

edit: couldnt sign up for QQ, said my phone number was suspicious. I think all of NA is blocked from registering for it.

Profile -> Modify profile -> Look and Layout ->  Don't show users' signatures
