That's quite an assortment. Most of them seem to have a brown band that is spaced a bit wider at one end. That is probably a 1% marking and explains the use of four bands instead of three for the value: three significant digits and a multiplier.
You did not include anything in the photo for a size comparison so it is difficult to say what power rating they may have. But if I had to guess I would say either 1/2W or, more likely 1/4W. But then, often the higher precision resistors will have different sizes.
As for the type of construction, if you don't mind losing one, you could break it apart to examine the insides. The outer coating will probably chip off if you apply pressure with a pair of pliers.
And the values can be confirmed with a good Ohm meter.
