Title: Rigol DS1052E: Captured signal isn't long enough
Post by: king.oslo on September 29, 2011, 09:51:16 am
Hello there,

I have bought an Rigol DS1052E. I reckon there will be a lot of users of this oscilloscope on the forum, so this must be the best place to ask.

Is there a way to adjust the amount of data collected when the scope is triggered? I feel that if the signal was longer (in regards to time), then that would help me.

I have tried the single sweep mode, and is not very familiar with the features of the scope.

Thank you for my time.

Under the Acquire menu there is a memory option, Normal or LongMem.

Normal is 8k/16k  and longmem is 512k/1024k  (depending if you're using one or two channels)

I think the Longmem mode will give you more samples.
