On a related note, many years back, I got a digital picture frame with the most peculiar clock: every midnight, it would jump to 4:00 rather than 0:00 like every other 24 hour clock does. It's even stranger that I could unplug the unit (it has a RTC battery), plug it back in the next day, and it would be 4 hours ahead. Looking inside, the clock chip claims to be a Maxim chip so I suspect some very poorly made fake...
