While going through my bin of old ICs I ran across a DIP-8 package that identifies as a 2527-V Dual 256 bit static serial in, serial out recirculating shift register manufactured in 1973. Any thoughts on what something like this may be used for? |
| nfmax:
Probably intended for the (character) display memory of a VDU, or for desk calculator working memory |

Funny you should mention that. I also found a 64 character 5x7 USASCII character generator chip in the collection. |

Computerless audio effects: delay, reverb, chorus, echo, etc. :bullshit: |
