I remember my parents washing machine did that periodically (bang into the wall, Sears Kelvinator ) in the 60's If you put a large towel in it.

Newer machine we had (still in 60's) would shut off in spin cycle and a buzzer go off if off balance.

Latest Sears machine we now have (fixed under warranty a  year old of a transmission leak) walks all over if an unbalanced load.
Wouldn't have noticed the leak during warranty if not pulling it out during remodeling.
If we not around, it could pull a hose off.

I also thought most modern washers specified to be on concrete and not 1st floor due to flimsy cabinet.

Poor Samsung.
I forget who I am sometimes, but then I remember that it's probably not worth remembering.

Samsung has a new product to help put them back on top and put all these recalls behind. Would you trust it? Could just as easily turn into a personal castration device.

I think the rich CEOs had a part in designing these, it's when your too rich and greedy to get anybody to suck you off, you have you multibillion corporations design this for you while you screw more people over and build exploding electronics.

...and apparently the latest Samsung machines will just explode if you unbalance them. They don't make them like they used to...

Maybe they are laundering jeans with Nexus 7 stuck in the back pocket :)

Really what could explode in a washing machine? Hurtle the detergent drawer at the user?
