Samsung Watch SM-845U Charging
« on: August 18, 2023, 01:18:24 pm »
I found a Samsung SM-845U watch on a trail behind my house that appeared to be in good shape.  This trail is frequented by local ATV riders, so I assumed the owner would pass back by at some point.  Assuming it is weather proof, I planted a stick painted with dayglow adjacent to the trail and hung the watch on it.  Now, three months later a maintenance crew has knocked over the stick/watch and I have claimed the watch as my own.  I need charging specs for this thing to attempt to bring it back to life.  A standard wireless Qi charger does not respond, but there appears to be charging contacts on the back.  Does anyone have knowledge of the expected voltage to these contacts? AC-DC, voltage, current, etc.  I tried 5 VDC with no response by either the watch or PS current draw.  There is also the likely possibility that the watch is just dead.

Says here it supports Qi charging: https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_watch3-10315.php

Looking at photos online I don't see any charging contacts on the back.

It must be dead then. My Qi chargers just blink out faults with the watch on them.
