I,m looking out for a scanner and printer for PCB board making , i already have sourced two from the local tip. a HP C4480 and a Samsung C410W . I am looking to do PCB artwork. The HP 4480 is an inkjet and also has a nice flat scanner that could be used for such purpose as copying artwork from old electronic magazines etc putting into a art program and readjusting for scale then printing. The Samsung is a Laser printer only , no scanner. Question is , what is best for home PCB production, Inkjet or Laser. there seems to be people using both ?. I also want to scan in old photo negs and archive them. so the HP4480 could be dual use if the Dpi is up to it !!!. There is no software with either these two units so where is the best place to source that . How do i trick out the HP4480 inkjet sensors to just use the scanner ie disable the printing capability?. Any help appreciated many thanks. |
