Their purpose and functionality are similar, but the implementations differ greatly. Nearly all USB chargers and wall-warts for electronics do ~KHz switching at the AC primary side at a high voltage to reduce transformer size. But this battery charger does a linear step-down first to 24 V using an old-fashioned 50 Hz transformer, and only performs DC-DC conversion at the secondary side. I guess for a heavy device like a lead-acid battery charger, the extra weight or size doesn't really matter (and since it's switched-mode the efficiency can still be high). From the schematics, it's also an easy way to allow an aux DC input.

P.S: in my original answer I almost recognized the letters "LT" on the DC-DC chips, but I wasn't sure whether it was an illusion caused by reading too much Linear App Notes so I didn't say anything. It turned out I wasn't wrong, it was just that there's another National chip with "LM" on it that confused me.

Another fun easter egg within this game: during one mission you need to turn on power generator that can supply 1.21GW.

Look closer at those characters there too...they'll look familiar.

unlikely this schematic has anything deeper. my impression it is just added as wall art.
having played all the Ratchet games up to playstation 4. I would give this Japanese style cat game, set in the age of robots, a 10 out of 10 .
as a solid 15 hr single player platformer. they should make a sequel to Stray.

I really enjoyed playing it. It had this great ambiance. Felt like every single screenshot could be a piece of art.
