Science documentary with some time-nut content (and rigol!)
« on: September 02, 2018, 08:45:53 pm »
Just watched a popular science documentary on Netflix called "The Most Unknown". It looks at 9 different scientists and their work.
One of the scientists is the lead of the team that built the most accurate clock to date. The documentary has some very interesting glimpses of the inside of his lab and also NIST.
I got a chuckle when they were doing the requisite "blinking lights and screens" shots to set the scene inside the NIST lab, and there was a good old 1054z with some traces flickering up and down! (alongside a bunch of old CRT HP spectrum analyzers).

Anyway, while the documentary was not technical, it was a nice inspirational science-fest if you're looking for something to watch on Netflix.
