Showcase: Sony Watchman FD-20A

(figured this was the right place for this?  Sorry if its not, feel free to move it to the correct forum!)

So I was just digging in an old box I had lots of stuff in, and this was at the very bottom of the box, and at first I was like :O  "I've not seen this in years, wounder if it still works!".  So I looked in the battery area, figured I would see the worst, but no, they were all still like new, though they didn't work.  So after some fresh battery's, I was like wow it still works!!!  Sadly because UHF and VHF are both basically gone, I couldn't get anything, unless its plugged into one of those adapters....  I did get a strong radio channel on the VHF setting.. lol  Some pics for you all:

So there ya go!  I'm not gonna take it apart, because sometimes I end up messing something up LOL!  I'm sure its a collectors item, even though its seen its fair share of uses, and someone at one point had put some kind of tape on it...  Enjoy!

Sorry for the lighting, these cheap "energy saving bulbs cast a yellow light... on everything even on my walls...

Thanks for the memories, remember that from the "Towards 2000" TV show when I was a child.
You can get energy saving bulbs in different colour temperatures.
