Shrink Ray
« on: July 27, 2016, 07:59:51 pm »
Got myself a dash cam today. Turns out it comes with a shrink ray generator! This could come handy, anyone knows how to activate that? There's no dedicated button for it. Does it work on ricers? Potholes? So many questions.

Sounds like Chinglish to me.

Was it very cheap by any chance?

Yup, that's some Chinglish for you ;) It wasn't expensive - I got a deal for what amounts to some $75 USD where I live. I'd say Xiaoyi aspires to the status of a somewhat premium Chinese brand. Or just represent what could hopefully be a new trend among Chinese companies. And by that I mean a webpage that doesn't make you want to cry and laugh at the same time (http://www.yitechnology.com/), decent packaging, etc. They apparently made a decent action cam (competing with GoPro in the bang-for-buck department) and more recently - a dash cam. It even has its "*gate" - there are numerous user reports of the picture quality degrading with increasing temperature. I'll verify that in few days.
