hi Sigma builds an extremely beautiful and simple bike computer, the Pure1, available in two versions: wired and wireless. I'd like the wired version because I am too lazy to check the battery on wheel sensor, and because I don't like wireless devices in general. Sigma also builds a very nice stem handlebar holder: the 2279167504 You can buy it on Amazon, but ... will it fit the Pure1-wired? Has anyone already tried it? can it be modified it to fit the Pure1-wired? :o :o :o |

Same question for the whole BC-line (e.g. the BC 5.16, which is cheap and great), see products here |

It seems this one is compatible ... at least it lists the bc 5.16 device as supported |

Yeah sadly there are various twist mount styles: Garmin, bryton, lezyne, cateye, wahoo, giant, mio Looks like the lower end sigma stuff is the same (BC, ATS, STS, Pure), the higher end has the symmetric style mount found here (Pure GPS, some of the Rox). The best standardized bike mount is Gopro, but its not quick release. I assume you are not interested in something as complex as the Magene or Xoss, due to lower battery life. |

Too bad for me because you need many twist mount kits. I'd like to replace my old BC 800 because it's dead, and I specifically want the Pure1 because it's incredibly legible, containing nothing that does not belong. --- Quote from: thm_w on July 15, 2022, 10:11:34 pm ---Looks like the lower end sigma stuff is the same (BC, ATS, STS, Pure), the higher end has the symmetric style mount found here (Pure GPS, some of the Rox). --- End quote --- Yup, but the Sigma Pure1 is available in two configurations: wired and the wireless (called ATS). It seems a twist mount for Sigma wireless devices is less *deep?*, but I have to verify it :-// --- Quote from: thm_w on July 15, 2022, 10:11:34 pm ---I assume you are not interested in something as complex as the Magene or Xoss, due to lower battery life. --- End quote --- ehehe no, I really want something with high battery life. My Garmin Edge 830 (GPS + touch screen, navigation + training) is very nice, but the battery lasts only for a couple of trips, say less than 190Km, and you have to charge it. I'd like to use the Sigma Pure1 as training device, when I don't care nothing but the three most important cycling questions: { How fast?, How far?, How long? } And it does so in a very compact and attractive design, which maximizes the battery life. Having it installed on a stem handlebar holder instead than on a twist handler would make it more comfortable and more legible during training. |
