And that is just the sort of thing our stupid local council would see and then commission some 'artist' to create.
Then erect it in the local square and tell the rate payer "It only cost $150k".

Right, I am off to see the council now...
Where are we going, and why are we in a handbasket?

The water was cold and colorless.   Some better components would have resulted in both a warmer tone and warmer water.   They should have sprung for the magic stones.

The content creator says right in his description that the effect is an artifact of the camera framerate combined with the water/sonic frequency. You would not observe these effects with the naked eye.

It's similar to stroboscopic video.
It's perfectly acceptable to not know something in the short term. To continue to not know over the long term is just laziness.

The experience of the effect would be very close if performed indoors under florescent light.
The 25Hz frequency and our 50Hz mains...
Obviously our American friends would want to use 30Hz freq source.

This is one of the stroboscopic videos I really like. This one does a good job showing the dynamic nature of engine valve spring motion.

Here is one of the coolest stroboscopic videos I've ever seen. Things get real interesting around the 2:45 mark if you don't want to hear the explanation beforehand.

A great find.  It gave some insight into another way of solving a problem that's been festering for years.

This is cool, but sadly not a real time (yet). It is equivalent real time sampling with very fast line scan.

I didn't even look at your profile first - I swear - and knew you were from Australia!

NZ actually, but clearly your local councils suffer from the same insane money wasting project ideas...  >:(
