Slow lightning / lichtenberg in wood

This looks nice. I wonder how much volt at how much current this needs.
Must be some current, to char the wood. Probably a very dangerous device.

From what I seen earlier they are using a standard MOT for this, so probably like 2KV at 0.5A or thereabouts...  Not particularly healthy to play with unless you're very careful and know what you're doing.

It seems a lot of artists use a neon transformer which can be up to 15KV.
