Snail Mail Stickers
« on: February 12, 2015, 08:58:38 pm »
Hello fellows, i'm Fernando from Brazil and I always watch the EEVBLOG youtube channel, specially the everybody's favourite segment: mailbag.
This is why I'm here, i made some stickers for people who sends something over to Dave through the snail mail. And we know sometimes something does go wrong as it did with the mini solar pannels Dave shattered by accident. The artwork is very scallable bc it is in a vector format.

I think this may be a good way to know before hand what is inside the package without spoiling too much. Maybe this can speed things up, I don't know, it was a pleasure and a funny experience making it, hope you all enjoy!

Don't ask a question if you aren't willing to listen to the answer.

Yeah, I know, I'm gonna gather all the suggestions/criticism and make a revision b, pour the drawings in separate files and such.  I was thinking for those who lacks a printer, a tag convention with acronyms should do the job as well, but not as funny though.

POS - commonly used abbreviation (esp by Dave)...

Piece Of Sh*t !

Sometimes only discovered during teardown, but other products are clearly POS before you open the case (or packaging!)

BTW You could sell these on eBay - printed / scored and ready to go.
A sheet of labels for $2, or similar.  Discount for 10 sheets!

I wouldn't change it, makes it funnier being sort of "out of place".
Sure Dave wouldn't mind he seems to like a laugh.

How about a warning sticker " Danger! How ya doin' !"

Loved the POS idea, here's my rendition.

ps. this is a gift, i wouldn't sell it, btw, I live in Brazil, can you imagine the shipping costs higher the product itself?

I am UK, so mine is just speculation.
Aussies ask "how you doin'" as a p!ss take when a person has already had a misfortune.
So if something is "a bit how ya doin'". then it is dodgy, unsafe, not made well.

I wondered if it comes from Australia being a country with many ways to come a cropper... those spiders etc!

+1

And I think you need a One Hung Low as well. Ignore those who might think it's racist. Maybe just use the "China Export" logo.

The Bob's your uncle one is kinda funny, but, If I remember right from school, don't you designate the females as a circle, and the males as a square?  In your drawing, your family tree has all females, and Bob is a female.

OMG!  I figured it out.  In this family tree, Bob is from West Virginia!
