Solar roadways are so old hat, how about Solar Canals?!

Seems in India they are putting solar panels over canals.
Apparently it doesn't use land that is useful for other purposes (in short supply in a lot of the populated areas in India), it helps prevent evaporative losses, and helps keep the panels cooler.

It's not that much different compared to usual solar farms except it does not occupy any land. No debunking video to make = no excited audience to watch.

If they were installing solar panels on a canopy over roads or bicycle paths I doubt there would have been any notice taken. Cyclists would probably endorse it in hot or wet climates.
You've also prompted me to make another point. Because of the way the debunking is done for base entertainment and YT views it reinforces the uncritical clamour for more entertainment. It polarizes the forum along the lines of those who find it entirely boring and would prefer more constructive activities and those who love the simple entertainment. I doubt there is a big middle ground. One is nourishment and the other a temporary sugar hit.
