Best low cost scope 200Mhz-400Mhz
« on: February 07, 2012, 08:39:32 pm »
Hi folks, long time lurker, out of the closest now

Given all thats been said, I'm looking for a new low cost scope, 200-400Mhz, but with good, CAN I2C, SPI bus protocol analysis ( in fact any serial bus stuff), Hameg have done some new software in that field.

Any recommendations.

Great site and forum

Keep the good work Dave.

The new Rigol 4000 series looks really interesting.
I think you pay extra for the serial decoding though, which is par for the course from all manufacturers it seems, but serial trigger is free?
The Agilent 3000 is nice, but probably not "low cost" enough?

Dave.

You might find it cheaper to get a logic analyzers for your CAN I2C, SPI...
Since protocol analysis is more of a standard feature on logic analyzers.

What Psi said, in particular, Lecroy LogicStudio if you're looking for a nice set of bells and whistles with a software interface that isn't complete trash.
