Wait, people are buying into fancy graphene heaters now?
Well, now that everything is "cloud", "blockchain" and "smart" woowoo anyway, people who want to show off how modern they are need, they something else, don't they? They don't understand the old and new buzzwords, but they understand that, so far, none of their facebook "friends" has anything using this "graphene technology thing whatever that is" so they want it first.
What's wrong with nichrome!? Hard to improve upon 100% efficiency, unless you build a heat pump!
Nothing, really. Nichrome wire is a quite good and proven technology. Usually, the fan (technically, the fan bearing) in my space heaters dies long before the heating wires start to have problems.
Although i must say, for my low power heater experiments i prefer to work with insulated 33 Ohm/m carbon fiber heating wires. You know, the ones used for underfloor heating. Mostly, because those are way more compatible with 3D printed parts than red-hot Nichrome. But i got some old space heaters in my attic, waiting for a disassembly just for the Nichrome wires ;-)
