If it would stop raining I could go and get the shed roof off the floor.

No thanks! you can keep that.
There are some mountains about 20kms to south west of me that often have snow on them in winter, that's close enough for me
I prefer my snow at a distance.  :)

wet here with overnight temperature of around 8 degrees.

Christ, we haven't had it that bad down here, just a few plastic bags flying down the street.

15F?  It's a heatwave!
Right now it's -19F, windy as all hell.  And sunny.
Shooting for -26F here tonight.
I didn't take it apart.
I turned it on.

Here in KY we're looking at negative temperatures in the next few days, without even the benefit of snow.

Can I borrow your weather the next couple of days?

I need to spray paint some things, and I prefer mine to actually dry before bringing it in the house.  :P

Been there, had to redo it when the rain finally stopped. I hate orange peel on a paint job, especially as I can spray without getting any. Pet peeve is a so called professional body shop where they put on 6 coats of paint and buff 5 off to get a shine. I put on 2 and do not buff, using the same paint and guns. Just more preparation and working slower. Done a couple of cars that way, and trailers, machinery and such.

We had a heavy snow fall around 2 decades ago that came close to the coast. There was a snow drift that lasted all through summer, even in the 30c plus of Mooi River. was fun to drive by it every weekend and see it still there in the heat. In a hollow protected by a grove of trees and out of the sun and wind.

Actually, there are locations in his own state where he can probably see real snow.  I spent a winter in northern Indiana, so I can tell you that the lake effect from Lake Michigan on I90 sometimes reaches out to about La Porte, In.  I grew up near Buffalo, NY so I have experienced real snow many times.

Ya, we don't get much snow here in N.D., just a buttload of wind & cold.
You guys up there in "lake effect snow land" get those frisbee sized snow flakes that like to knock you out as they fly by.
I've been up there for one of those snow storms.  Freekin' amazing how much snow can dump in one good storm.
I didn't take it apart.
I turned it on.

Doc D, I hate you right now ;D!  Can you send some of that to sunny Florida?  Granted, we are supposed to dip into the 20's tomorrow night, after being 70 today, but we will be back up to 70 on Wednesday or Thursday.  I would love to see a streak of those temps.  I have also done the same thing when I was living in New Jersey.  The gas grill was tapped into the house gas supply, never had to worry about getting bottles in the middle of winter and having people give me funny looks.  GRILL ON!!!

Ha, the seasons are such a wonderful sight.  Today the boys and I spent 4-wheeling, then later on cruising the back roads in almost 2' of snow with 3'+ of drifts (see avatar).  We ended the day probing with the scope, looking out the back window:

Very dry winter here in NW Washington so far. But at least it's been cold enough for our lake to freeze.  I like the snow for the skiing but at least with less snow there's less shoveling for an ice skating rink.....

Nano, I am in Edgewater.  If you don't know where that is, it is about 15 miles south of Daytona Beach.

Are you kidding me?  :o I grew up just a few miles away in Pine Hills (before it became Crime Hills).  >:D

Pertaining to Edgewater, trips to Skycraft were about a weekly pilgrimage for me, and if I had any money left over, I'd grab lunch at Gabriel's sub shop.  ;D

In Texas, we have a few zones. Roughly 10 months of fucking hot, then 2 days of cold, and then the rest of it is nice weather. In that period of nice weather, I can't go outside 3/4 of the time because of seasonal allergies.

Do OTC allergy medications work for you, such as Zyrtec or Claritin?

Echen, I forgot to mention, we do have 4 seasons here, the 4th season is love bugs |O.  Nano, when I am covering for the Orlando Tech, I make it a point to stop in Skycraft.  The geek's candy store.  When I was replacing the "crapcom" capacitors in Dell 15" monitors a couple of years ago, Skycraft was the source until I ended up cleaning them out of the values we needed :-//  We then had to get them online.

Skycraft is da bomb.  You never truly know what you will see there.  There is the usual WunHungLow crap, but there is plenty of gold among the dross.  I recently bought some 16ga silicone test lead wire for 30 cents a foot.  They have big spools of the stuff.  They also have a lot of vintage test gear.  If my poor brain will let me remember, I will try to take pictures the next time I'm there and start a Skycraft thread.  There is much more goodies for sale than the website shows.

22.2C is lower than my Aircond setting,& at 7.2C,I'd be firing up the wood fire! ;D

I spoke too soon on my previous post,
Next Saturday's max is predicted to be 43C (109.4F).
