Title: Sorting Forum Search Results

How do I sort the search results so that they are in date order with the most recent post first?

I just tired a search and my results were in that order by default.

But I do recall forum search returning results in a random date order in the past. No idea why, but it doesn't appear to be doing that for me atm.

Click "search" near Home/Help/Search/Profile/About us/... at the top of the page.

Click "advanced search" below the search text box.

You will have an option to change sorting order.

I have always despised forum search systems. I have often resorted to using google and a site: added in.

I have some rather good Google-fu skills but searching a forum is like doing a regx searches in a foreign language.
