Some northern lights pics from last night
« on: October 14, 2017, 11:20:44 pm »
Noticed the sky lit up a few times when I was at my parents' house last night but didn't have my camera.  Later that night at home there was still a bit of activity so caught a few.

This one right from my back yard with bonus big dipper:

Wow, those stars are bright. There are many advantages to living where I live, but the light pollution certainly isn't one.

Yeah I live in northern Ontario, and it's pretty nice here for that.  Would not trade it a for big city.

Your country comes up as a black X kind of like a "red x" on my browser.

Used a Nikon D7000.  Most shots are at around 15-30 second exposure.  Used a 35mm prime except for the fish eye one.
