Source of 1/4" shaft panel mount dual potentiometers
« on: January 19, 2023, 06:55:33 am »
Does anyone know of a supplier/manufacturer that has 2-in-1 potentiometers?  I don't mean just dual gang, I am looking for the ones that have two controls for two different pots on one shaft.

Thanks,
Brandon

And if you look REAL close at an analog signal,
You will find that it has discrete steps.

Google does return more than duckduckgo does, thank you, but I was hoping for something from a reputable company.  Whenever I go to mouser or or the like, their potentiometer filters do not offer the dual adjustment option.  I want something with a datasheet, not a used mystery pot off ebay/amazon that wears out in a few turns.  Ive tried Mouser, Digikey, Jameco, Elliot, All Electronics...  Alibaba has minimum orders of 500-1000, I only need a few.

DigiKey, Mouser, Newark, Allied are prime sources for name brands. Jameco, not so much. Elliot, All Electronics, Alibaba, and other web only sources are often selling surplus parts that have sat on a shelf for years; I never would have used them in my career except as an absolute last resort.

First, use one of the prime sources to find and go to the OEM's web sites. Then search for what you need there. ASK FOR THEIR HELP. THEN, ask where you can buy what you need, in the quantities you need.

There are parts that are hard to find. One way to get them is to find a product where they were used and try to buy them as repair parts. This does not necessarily mean that product is the item you are trying to repair or build. And do not tell them why you want them. Just let them believe they are for repairing their product. This will cost more, but when all else fails, you do what you must.
