Sourcing 100W solar panels
(1/1)
oliver602:
Hi all,
I have 78 cm X 183 cm space available for solar panels on a camper. I would like to fit 200 W.
I'm having trouble finding panels to make the most of the space available.
I initially found these 100 W panels that I could fit two of. But they are out of stock and quite expensive(?) at £139/$194 each. https://www.photonicuniverse.com/en/catalog/full/21-100W-12V-solar-panel-with-5m-cable-German-solar-cells.html
I did some searching on ebay and found these panels of similar dimensions and power at almost half the cost.

My question is, would you trust the seller on the specifications and construction quality of these panels?
NiHaoMike:
Can you find a single panel around 200W of that dimension? 100W is no longer the "sweet spot" for lowest cost in small quantity.

Shift something to fit a 325W panel.

I found a 215W solar panel from Victron thats 80.8cm wide. I re measured and decided I could hopefully get away with a 81cm wide panel with some custom brackets.
