SpaceX to Launch Falcon Heavy Rocket
« on: April 27, 2019, 08:00:39 pm »
OMG... Stumbled across *A REPLAY* of the live launch

That was amazing... they managed not only to land the side boosters but also the core rocket onto their drone ship.

 :)

It's a fake livestream. It was launched 2 weeks ago.

I can't even imagine how many things would have to go right to make this happen.  If I had worked on any part of that vehicle and its control systems then I would be going crazy too.
STAND BACK!  I'm going to try SCIENCE!

Unfortunately, the core that landed on the barge ended up taking a swim anyway. The ocean was too rough and it toppled after the landing. I'm not sure how long after the landing, but it wasn't immediately. The system they have for securing the Falcon 9 cores wasn't suitable for Falcon Heavy since there is some additional hardware on the Heavy version that's in the way for the clamping mechanism, and the new design wasn't ready in time for the launch.
They call the mechanism Octagrabber and it looks like a big Roomba.

:grinds teeth:, That  "SPACE & UNIVERSE (Official)" youtube channel really gets under my skin.  |O  I dunno why the channel still exists.

They should be kicked off Youtube and fined all the money they have taken in advertising revenue .

Fake live streaming should not be tolerated.

I've seen them blur our the onscreen date/time area in the nasa/spaceX live feeds
