Title: Speedy Bend- Lead Forming Tool - ProbeMaster
Post by: Homer J Simpson on November 24, 2024, 07:47:44 pm
I was searching for a set of these and wanted to share in case anyone else finds it useful.

Set of lead forming tools from a company called ProbeMaster. Some other interesting items on their site as well.

Edit - Adding Sanhayat Lead Bender RB-5.

That looks like something a DIYer could easily make out of wood with mostly just a saw.

Looks useful.

I have a few of these, but I've always found that they don't work any better than pliers.

Unless you have to bend hundreds/day; is a semi-mass(up to 10's of boards/day) production tool.

These tools work well if you are soldering axial-lead components to breadboard-pattern perfboards that have 0.1 inch hole spacing.

Also many variants on Thingiverse

Here are STL files for several resistor lead benders I downloaded from Thingiverse if you don't want to do a bunch of searching.  They work well if you have a lot to do.

I won't spend $10 for one!  But did print a couple for 10 cents.
